I tried LDAP, Active Directory and Jira. What's causing this problem? I'm using Upsource 2.0.3653 on a 64 Bit CentOS machine.

Hi Alexander,

It's a known issue, please watch/upvote it here - https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/UP-5007

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Artem,

Thanks, I downloaded the binaries mentioned in JPS-3002 and installed the hub as a standalone application. The Jira module works!

The Active Directory module is, unfortunately, a different story. When I test my credentials it says: "User not found". My admin checked all LDAP settings and didn't spot any errors. Only one logfile is updated after a failed login: hub-stdout.log. It says:

WARN  [BaseExceptionMapper           ] REST exception for URL: /hub/api/rest/authmodules/918ac29d-a7d0-4d4a-81fb-5f282768e3e7/resolve
jetbrains.jetpass.rest.common.JetPassRestException: Doesn't exist or is not accessible
at jetbrains.jetpass.rest.common.ExceptionExt.checkExists(ExceptionExt.java:67)
at jetbrains.jetpass.rest.api.authority.AuthModuleSubresource.post_Resolve(AuthModuleSubresource.java:84)

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

Hi Alexander,

Difficult to say, log doesn't indicate that password is incorrect or connection to DC cannot be established. So connection part seems to be working.

Two questions -

1. Could you please try to test with any other user credentials?

2. Could you please paste a screenshot of all LDAP auth settings from Hub?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Artem,

the credentials of another user didn't work either. See the attachments for my current LDAP settings. I obscured some values. If you need the unedited version please give me an email address so I can send it to you.

How do I update the built-in Hub? I have the same issue when creating a LDAP module but I don't want to install hub as standalone. Thanks.

Alexander,

Thanks for sending it.

In the filed "DN transform" please replace "%u" with "%u@your_domain.local"

Let me know if it helps.

I am facing the same problem. I have upsource version 2.0.3653. Is it part of this version?

On the upsource deployment - <server-url>/vcs I see the VCS Settings version as 0.9.486. Do I need to update the hub separately as detailed here - https://www.jetbrains.com/hub/help/1.0/upgrading-hub-installation.html?

Also on the http://<server-name>:8080/hub/authmodules page I see the hub version as Build 1.0.482 [07-08-2015 22:57]. Executing the hub.sh command shows that the hub is shutdown.

Hi Artem,

I tried (with different accounts) but no luck. I get the same error message as before: User not found.

Hi Alexander,

Could you please post here or drop to the same e-mail screenshot of LDAP settings in Hub?

Thanks.

Amit,

There are 2 possible configurations- Upsource with built-in Hub and Upsource with External Hub.

If you use Upsource with built-in Hub, you have to update your installation to the latest Upsource update 2.0.3682, that will fix this issue.

If you have external Hub instance, you have to update it with the latest available patch. Might be found on Hub page https://www.jetbrains.com/hub/download/

Hope it helps.
