Path to project model for IntelliJ IDEA build system

Hi, I'm trying to create a new project with inspections based on IntelliJ IDEA build system. The .idea folder is not at the root of my repository. Upsource documentation mentions I could specify a relative 'path to project model', but this setting is nowhere to be found with 'IntelliJ IDEA' build system being selected. Is there a way to specify the relative location of .idea folder?

Upsource version: 3.0.4291.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Actually your .idea directory should be detected automatically.

Did it happen in your case?

The inspections did eventually came up: it took quite a while, possibly, due to size of the repo.

I'd like to understand the mechanics of inspection workings better:

1. Does upsource use the single inspection profile version (latest, I guess) against any revision of the inspected file or is it the inspection profile of the same revision as the inspected file?

2. Does upsource stores the results of the inspections or are they get recalculated on user requests (it takes several seconds for the inspection status to appear once I open the file).

Thanks Artem

Hi Mark,

Terribly sorry for the delayed response.

1. Inspection profile of the same revision as the inspection file.

2. Actually it has a cache, so each next attempt to view a file (in the same revision) should be faster than the initial one.

Hope that helps.
